The workshop targeted a wide spectrum of regional stakeholders, from the Alpine area in particular, including companies, universities, research centers and public administrations, interested in sharing new project ideas and finding partners for future collaborations.

The aim was to stimulate the crucial role of such regions, which already in the past have proven to be important players in European development and innovation policies, in boosting a sustainable European bio-economy.
